ABOUT
Camp Shayna is a virtual summer camp for children ages 5-12. This camp will meet daily through Zoom and will provide a myriad of specialty activities such as arts and crafts, drama, music, yoga, sports, cooking/baking, nature, and outdoor activities. Each week Camp Shayna will also have a special theme day and a virtual campfire. We will run Monday, July 13th to August 7th, Monday through Friday from 11 am to 3 pm EST. As an additional component of Camp Shayna, we will be running a "Rent a Counselor" program where parents can hire a general counselor or specialist on an as-needed basis for a variety of activities to work virtually with their child or children.

“I am a graduate student studying for my Master’s degree in Creative Arts Therapy Counseling at Hofstra University and work in my local park district as the head coach in their special needs therapeutic figure skating program and as a teacher in their special needs art classes. This has helped to give me a varied background in child development. I know how important social interaction, play, and self-expression are for a child’s intellectual and emotional development. Play is a crucial part of any child’s social-emotional wellbeing as all children use some form of play as a means of working out life situations and interpersonal relationships. I am using all this knowledge and experience to help me develop the most incredible experience a child can have this summer.”
