Jillian S.
Camp Shayna's Founder and Director

Jillian was born and raised on Long Island, NY. She has her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and is currently studying to obtain her Master's degree in Creative Arts Therapy Counseling. She has over 15 years of experience working with children of all ages and abilities. In her spare time, Jillian teaches art to children of all abilities and teaches special needs therapeutic figure skating. Between being a camper herself and being on staff, Jillian has over 15 years of day camp and sleep-away camp experience. She is so excited to embark on this incredible journey with the Camp Shayna community!
Riki

Riki was born in Long Island, NY. She is currently a senior at Binghamton University majoring in English. She hopes to get a dual master's degree in Social Work and Public Administration from Binghamton University's Graduate Program. She has over 10 years of experience working with children and 4+ years of coordinating and building her own children's programs. In her spare time, Riki is fundraising money for the United Jewish Children's Fund and painting different pieces for her new house. Riki is so excited for an amazing summer at Camp Shayna.

Oryah was born in Israel and lived in Miami for a couple of years however she currently lives in Atlanta for the past 16 years. She is studying Sports Administration at Georgia State University. Oryah has been a counselor at a summer day camp for 6 years and Assistant Director of that camp for 1 year.

Lexi is a recent college graduate from Binghamton University with a degree in Political Science and Urban Planning. During her time at Binghamton University, Lexi was a Resident Assistant and an executive board member for her professional fraternity where she gained experience planning programs for a diverse group of students. In addition to her experience volunteering with children as a teaching assistant and tutor, she has 8 years of camp experience and is excited to create a digital camp program that is exciting, engaging, and entertaining!

Julianna is a recent college graduate from Connecticut. She currently lives in New York City. She recently received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Hartford with a focus in Photography. She has 3+ years of Marketing Experience. She has over 10 years of summer camp experience. She is excited to be apart of the Camp Shayna community!

Camp Shayna's Mascot
Shayna is a 10-year old Maltese. She weighs about 8 pounds and is the sweetest pup you'll ever meet! She loves to lay in the sun and have her belly rubbed (not always at the same time). If you give her a belly rub, Shayna will be your best friend for life! She also loves her biscuits! On her birthday every year, Shayna gets a very special treat of vanilla ice cream. Boy oh boy does she love that ice cream. She gives the best and warmest snuggles.

Camp Counselor, Specialty Story Time and Games
Eliana is originally from Cherry Hill, New Jersey but is now residing in Jerusalem. She currently works in a preschool as an assistant teacher and has worked with children in many different capacities over the last 6 years. Eliana has worked for many summers as a counselor in day camps and sleepaway camps. She has experience in working with a wide range of ages from Preschool to 3rd grade. Eliana is very passionate about working with children and hopes to bring some joy to children during a difficult time.

Cosplay/Disney Princess
Hello, my name is Stephanie and I'm a biology student at Pittsburg State University as well as an art minor. I started a company called the "Pitt Princess" during COVID-19 as a lot of classes we're being moved online. I do video calls, virtual visits as well as birthday parties as Disney characters as well as a few other various characters. The characters I currently offer are Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Belle, Ariel, Rapunzel, Elsa, Anna, Tinkerbell, Pinkie Pie, and Mal. I will soon be adding a few more. I really enjoy all of my video calls as the characters I have gotten to do because I enjoy being a person that can spread kindness in the world. My favorite food is Indian and I love cat pictures.

Library Time/Story Time
My name is Michael and I was born in Manhattan, NY. I am majoring in Elementary and Early Childhood Education with a minor in English at Queens College. My goal is to receive a Master's degree in Special Education. Last Summer, I worked in Queens Library with a variety of age groups, as I read aloud to children and played board games with them. In addition, we made a lot of arts and crafts projects. I am very excited to be part of Camp Shayna's community, as I will strive to provide each child with an unforgettable summer.

Hi, I am Arielle. I am studying Social Work. I have been a camp counselor for many years with different ages, ranging from five to fifteen years old. I have also worked in various settings such as schools, camps, hospitals, and day care centers. I really love camp and am looking forward to meeting everyone!

Hi everyone! My name is Bari Stockel and I am from Weston, Florida. I am a current junior studying business at Indiana University, and am heavily involved with organizations like Dance Marathon on campus. My past experience with children include tutoring, nannying, coaching gymnastics, and being a senior camp counselor. I love working with kids of all ages, doing fun and engaging activities like science project, crafts or playing sports!

Sabrina Kalman is an actress and proud theatre/arts educator from New York City. She has a degree in Theatre Performance from Wagner College, and has traveled the country and world performing and teaching children of all ages. Sabrina loves singing, acting, and dancing, and is so excited to share her passion with you all this Summer!

Hi! I'm an actress/singer/dancer living in NYC and I love kids! I started babysitting at a very early age for my younger sister and other kids in the neighborhood. I started babysitting in the city after I graduated from college in between acting jobs. I have experience with babies, children, and teens of all ages. I am a go with the flow kind of person, a great active listener, and a caring individual. I can offer dance classes in a variety of styles/techniques (ballet, tap, jazz, theater dance), give voice lessons, private acting instruction, and arts and crafts! I look forward to meeting you and your child virtually!
